Hill Slides provide nice motor planning and vestibular opportunities. Young children can practice increasing their core strength when going down the slide. Increase the challenge and risk of the activity, and have the children climb up the slide and go down the slides with their heads in different positions - perfect for increasing vestibular input. Attaching a rope at the top of the slide with supervision allows children to strengthen their upper body to climb up the slide. Placing herbs along the side of the hill slides can increase olfactory engagement in a very subtle but powerful way.
